February is coming in like a lion. We have had such a snowy winter this year in the great state of Nebraska. Although most of us are tired of it and longing to see Daffodils and Crocuses, these girls loved being outside in it!

I had the complete pleasure and privilege of photographing Baby Leo yesterday. Leo's dad is deployed to Iraq and only witnessed his birth with the help of Skype. He is the perfect mix of both his mom and dad. No doubt loved by many.

Here we are, 2010. Another decade has passed and Pargett Photography is entering its TENTH year. I can hardly believe it.

Christmas has been here and gone. We had a Christmas blizzard that kept all of us in the house for 2 days. It was a blessing. We loved having all of our children here!

At our house, New Years marks not only our wedding anniversary, but our Daughter, Francie's birthday. She was born on New Years Day, 1998. Yep, she was the FIRST baby of the new year in the state of Nebraska. Yep, I got a lot of great gifts from the hospital.....like a case of formula. I breast fed her for years....and an 11x14 print of her newborn picture. Does anyone really like those?
oh, and a spot on the local news. That was fun.
So this year, we had a reverse surprise party for her. She turned 12 and friends are everything.
The reverse surprise is when the birthday girl knows but no one else does. We told the parents we'd pick the girls up at 6:30 a.m. and they were to let us in to wake up their daughter and haul her to McDonalds to eat breakfast. No hair brushes allowed. We did say it was ok to use the toilet and to brush their teeth.
It was so much fun.

The party guests at McDonalds. I think the McDonald folks were surprised!

I think they were plotting a "dump Mary in the snow" idea.
